Therefore, the global demand for lithium metal is very urgent. Lithium minerals in nature mainly exist in the form of spodumene, lepidolite and petalite. Spodumene is one of the most widely developed and utilized minerals, and is known as "industrial MSG". Since spodumene often coexists with gangue minerals such as quartz, feldspar, and mica, it will cause the mudification of spodumene minerals to increase, thereby affecting the beneficiation effect of spodumene and increasing its beneficiation difficulty.

Flotation is the commonly used method for spodumene. Generally, it is necessary to add "three alkalis and two soaps" to the slurry to improve the capture capacity of target minerals. The common spodumene flotation process in the beneficiation plant is mainly one roughing, two sweeping and two fines. The intermediate ore obtained in the process is returned to the closed-circuit process. Desliming before flotation is very necessary. The return of the intermediate ore will affect the stability of the roughing beneficiation. The specific operability is not strong and the applicability is limited, so the beneficiation index is not very ideal. 1. Spodumene magnetic levitation combined process flow

The spodumene magnetic levitation combined process flow is roughly as follows: the spodumene raw ore is crushed and ground, and the slurry after grinding is successively subjected to weak magnetic separation and strong magnetic separation to obtain weak magnetic concentrate and strong magnetic concentrate. The strong magnetic tailings are concentrated and deslimed and then enter the flotation operation, and the processed lithium concentrate is obtained.

Spodumene Grinding-Classification Operation: The raw ore enters the crusher for coarse, medium and fine crushing before grinding. The grinding operation often forms a closed loop with the classification operation, thereby improving the utilization rate of the ore.

Spodumene Weak Magnetic-Strong Magnetic Separation Operation: The products after grinding and classification enter the magnetic separator for weak magnetic separation and strong magnetic separation to obtain weak magnetic concentrate and strong magnetic concentrate. For weak magnetic separation, a permanent magnetic drum magnetic separator can be used, and the magnetic field strength can be set at 150-175kA/m. When the mineral is subjected to strong magnetic separation, a high gradient magnetic separator is selected, and the magnetic field strength is generally 770-950 kA/m. Weak magnetic separation concentrate can further recover the iron-containing minerals therein, and strong magnetic separation concentrate can obtain elements such as tantalum and niobium through gravity separation.

Magnetic separation concentrate concentration and desludging operation:This process is only carried out for strong magnetic separation tailings, and the bottom flow pulp concentration after concentration and desludging ranges from 32% to 38%.

Spodumene flotation operation:When the bottom flow concentration of the concentrated desludging reaches the requirement, it is fed into the flotation operation. The flotation process is one roughing, two scavenging, and two concentrating. After flotation, lithium concentrate is obtained and tailings are discharged. The collector used in flotation is a composite collector of fatty acid calcium, hydroxylamine compounds, and oleic acid, and the adjusting agent used in roughing is sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, and calcium chloride.
