The flotation machine is used to achieve flotation of minerals and obtain concentrate products. The process of flotation is a process in which the ore, medicine and gas adhere to each other. Then the bubbles carry the attachments up to the ore and are scraped out by the scraper to complete the flotation.
At present, there are three main types of flotation machines, namely mechanical agitation flotation machine, inflatable agitation flotation machine and inflatable flotation machine , below we will introduce these three types of flotation machines, including their advantages and disadvantages and types of equipment.
The working principle of the mechanical agitation flotation machine is that the aeration and stirring of the slurry are completed by a stirring device composed of an impeller and a stator. It is sucked in by itself, near the mechanical stirring device at the bottom of the flotation tank. Commonly used mechanical agitation flotation equipment includes SF type, JJF type, BF type, XJM type, XJK type and rod type flotation machine, etc. Among them, SF type and JJF type are widely used.
Main advantages: This type of flotation machine can absorb slurry and air by itself, and can realize self-flow when the middle ore returns, without pumping, so auxiliary equipment Less, more convenient to operate, and low equipment investment cost.
Disadvantages: Because the mechanical agitation mode can self-inhale air and slurry, its inflation volume is not as sufficient as external air supply, and it consumes high power and wears out a lot.
The working principle of the inflatable stirrer flotation machine is to use an external blower to inject air. Although there is also a mechanical stirring device, it only serves to stir. The role of slurry and dispersed air. When air is supplied from the outside, the slurry aeration and stirring are separated. Common equipment models mainly includeXCF type, KYF type, XHF type, CLF type (coarse particle flotation machine) type, etc. Among them, the first two are widely used, and both of them are used in mineral processing plants. The equipment chiefs form a combined unit and are used.
Main advantages: First, the aeration volume of this type of flotation machine is supplied from the outside, so the aeration volume can be increased or decreased according to demand, making it easier to adjust , can maintain a constant state, which is conducive to improving the processing capacity and sorting index of the flotation machine; secondly, because the impeller of the flotation machine does not have an air suction function, the speed is low, the power consumption is small, and the wear is small. In addition, it is suitable for brittle minerals. It is not easy to sludge; thirdly, the machine adopts a U-shaped groove design with a shallow bottom, which can increase the processing capacity and has low power consumption under the same unit processing capacity.
Disadvantages: Due to the use of external air supply, in order to ensure the air supply volume, a compressed air system needs to be added.
The inflatable flotation machine does not have mechanical stirring devices and transmission components. The slurry needs to be transported by a pump, and the air is supplied by an external blower. . When working, the slurry is fed into the flotation machine from the inlet, and bubbles are generated through the internal or external bubble generator, and then the minerals are attached. As the bubbles rise to the foam layer, they are washed with water to form concentrate. Inflatable flotation machines are mainly based on flotation columns. Generally, the column height of the flotation column is between 5 and 15m, and the diameter is in the range of 0.5 to 4.0m.
Main advantages:The main features of the flotation column are simple structure and convenient maintenance.
Disadvantages: Since there is no stirring device, the flotation efficiency will be affected to a certain extent. In addition, the equipped aeration device is easy to accumulate calcium and is not conducive to air dispersion.
The above are the three major types of flotation machine equipment commonly used in mineral processing plants. As for which one to choose, it depends on the mineral processing plant. Choose according to actual conditions.
