Mixed flotation of copper-nickel sulfide ore is to simultaneously extract nickel sulfide ore from the ore. The obtained nickel concentrate can be directly smelted. This method is mostly suitable for selecting copper-nickel ores with lower copper content than nickel content.
The mixed-preferred flotation method is to float copper first and nickel mixed minerals, and then the copper concentrate is preferably selected from the mixed concentrate, and then the qualified nickel concentrate is flotated from the copper tailings. When various types of nickel minerals have large differences in floatability, after mixing and flotation to separate copper and nickel, the tailings can be enriched again to further recover nickel minerals with poor floatability.
