It is based on the penetration of cyanide solution through the ore layer to leach gold from the gold-bearing ore. It is suitable for placer and loose porous materials. There are two processes of percolation cyanidation leaching: pool leaching and heap leaching. The cyanide leaching solution is percolated and then treated with ion exchange resin, activated carbon adsorption or zinc powder (silk) replacement.
Percolation leaching is generally carried out in a percolation leaching pool. The leaching pool usually uses a wooden pool, an iron trough pool or a cement pool. The pool bottom is horizontal or slightly inclined, and is round, rectangular or square. The pool is equipped with a false bottom made of perforated acid-resistant plates, which is covered with filter cloth, and the filter cloth is covered with a grid with wooden strips or corrosion-resistant metal strips. During leaching, the ore is placed in the pool, the leaching agent is added above the pool, and the leaching liquid flows out from the bottom of the false bottom. The false bottom is used to filter and support the ore.
The time required for leaching in the percolation pool depends not only on the dissolution rate of the solvent to the mineral, but also on the penetration rate of the solvent in the material layer. The penetration rate mainly depends on factors such as the loading height, the porosity of the material, the degree of silt, the viscosity of the leaching agent, and the characteristics of the material itself.
Heap leaching mainly involves transporting the mined ore to a pre-prepared stockpile to build a heap, or directly spraying or percolating the cyanide leaching solution on the stored waste rock or low-grade ore, so that the solution passes through the ore to produce a percolation and leaching effect. The leaching solution is circulated many times, repeatedly spraying the ore heap, and then collecting the leaching solution, and then using ion exchange resin, activated carbon adsorption or zinc replacement, and the lean liquid is returned to the heap leaching operation for recycling.
The heap leaching site is generally selected from a gentle slope mountain (natural slope 5-15˚) close to the mining site and convenient for transportation. First, weeds and loose soil are removed, and then compacted to build a foundation with a slope of about 5˚. The two sides are high and the middle is slightly lower, which is convenient for the leaching liquid to flow into the storage tank. A geomembrane is laid on the yard to prevent leakage. A 0.4m earth ridge is built around the yard and a waterproof ditch is made to prevent rainwater from flowing into the yard. Before piling the ore, a large piece of lean ore 0.3m thick is piled first.
The heap leaching method has low production costs and can be put into production quickly. The scale of heap leaching can be large or small. The ore is crushed to a certain particle size and then heap leached or granulated.
Gold resources are very precious. In order to more reasonably select ore, gold ore dressing technology is crucial. If you want to select gold from gold ore more economically and environmentally friendly, you should first conduct a ore dressing test, comprehensively analyze the properties of the ore, and obtain a scientific ore dressing test report, so as to determine which gold ore dressing process to use, and determine the ore dressing plan after comprehensively considering the actual situation of the gold ore dressing plant, investment and other factors, so as to achieve an ideal return on investment.
