To this day, the silver mine has always been the second most important silver mine in Morocco after Imiter. In ancient times, the silver mine once produced 234.5 kilograms of silver with a purity of 90-97%, which shocked the world. Since 1990, affected by the price of silver, all mining operations have been stopped and the entire silver mine has entered a maintenance state. Until 2012, M Mining Company successfully acquired the silver mine and established a 300tpd silver mine cyanidation plant to recover silver ore, with an investment of up to US$22 million in 4 years.
However, with the continuous increase in the depth of mineral processing, M Mining Company found that the 300tpd silver cyanidation plant has gradually become incompatible with the current mineral processing needs. Since the cyanidation plant has been established for a long time, the equipment of the plant is not only out of repair, but also the entire process is not reasonable, resulting in the processing capacity not meeting the expected design, and the silver recovery rate is decreasing year by year. Therefore, M Mining Company decided to renovate and expand it.
Regarding the renovation and expansion of the plant, M Mining Company has strict requirements on the equipment, process, recovery rate, investment cost, etc., and even clearly stated the investment cost control rate.
1. On the basis of the original beneficiation plant, appropriate new equipment and processes are added to maximize the use of existing plants, equipment and foundations;
2. Party B is responsible for the design of the beneficiation plant, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and other overall solutions for the beneficiation plant to ensure smooth process flow, normal operation of new and old equipment, and achieve the expected recovery rate;
In this regard, the person in charge of the beneficiation plant has consulted more than ten beneficiation companies, but found that the levels of various beneficiation companies are uneven, and it is difficult to achieve a balance between project costs, indicators, and economic benefits. Some beneficiation companies suggest replacing most of the existing equipment, plants, and infrastructure. The amount of civil engineering is huge and the shutdown time is too long. Some beneficiation manufacturers can only provide beneficiation equipment for them, and they are powerless to meet other requirements of customers.
By chance, the person in charge of the beneficiation plant accidentally learned about Xinhai, and then found Xinhai Company to carry out plant transformation. Although this is not the first time that Xinhai has been responsible for a full-industry chain service project for the mining industry, considering the particularity of this beneficiation plant transformation, Xinhai carefully decided to send technical personnel to the site for inspection to understand the ore resources, construction conditions, and the original beneficiation plant. During the day, Xinhai's technical staff has been assisting customers in collecting and integrating various types of resource information on site; at night, they are busy with calculations and analysis, and providing suggestions for customers' site selection, design, construction and other work.
The person in charge of the beneficiation plant said that this field visit gave him a deeper understanding of Xinhai and highly recognized the EPC strength of Xinhai beneficiation plant. In the end, the two parties happily signed a beneficiation EPC contract, covering a series of links including beneficiation plant design, equipment manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and worker training.
Combining a series of transformation and expansion requirements put forward by the person in charge of the beneficiation plant with the actual situation of the beneficiation plant, Xinhai Mining Research Institute conducted a preliminary exploration of the beneficiation process conditions. After comparing various beneficiation processes, Xinhai Mining Research Institute found that under the flotation process conditions, the silver ore recovery rate of the project was much higher than that of other processes.
Therefore, after discussing with the person in charge of the beneficiation plant, Xinhai decided to adopt a two-stage semi-open-circuit crushing, two-stage grinding, and flotation process. After grinding, the original ore undergoes a roughing selection, three scavenging selections, and a secondary concentration, and the silver ore recovery rate is as high as 92%.
New crushing, grinding and flotation workshops were built. Considering that the concentrator is located in the mountainous area, Xinhai used crushers and vibrating screens to form two semi-open circuits, which significantly reduced the crushing particle size and reduced the mill load; the grading operation part specially added a return sand automatic lifting device, which greatly saved power. The transformation is mainly for the flotation operation part. Xinhai configured 4 XCF-8, 6 KYF-8, and 3 SF-2.8 flotation machines to form a flotation unit and reagent ratio.
The thickener, leaching workshop, purification workshop, replacement workshop and dehydration workshop were transformed on the original basis, the original equipment was repaired, and all damaged parts were replaced, which fully guaranteed the stable operation in the later period. In addition, the whole set of solutions reduced the production cost of the project by 15%, which was 5% lower than the customer's expected investment cost control.
At present, the equipment trial operation of each link of the beneficiation plant project has entered the final stage, and it will be officially put into production soon. The expected processing scale is 500t/d, and the annual ore processing volume is as high as 150,000 tons. At the same time, Xinhai installation and commissioning technicians also conducted centralized theoretical training and on-site practical training for the beneficiation plant workers, helping the beneficiation plant to quickly establish its own technical team.
With the implementation of Xinhai's overseas strategy, Xinhai has successively established three African offices in Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Sudan, and has conducted business negotiations with many mining companies in Africa, successfully reaching cooperation intentions.
