Graphite has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, strong electrical and thermal conductivity due to its special structure. Natural graphite ore can be divided into crystalline graphite and cryptocrystalline graphite. Different types of graphite need to be separated by different beneficiation methods. 1. Flotation process of crystalline graphite ore

Both dense crystalline graphite and flake graphite belong to crystalline graphite. Dense crystalline graphite ore has a low content in nature, and its development and utilization is not much, but dense crystalline graphite ore has high quality and can generally be used after hand selection.

Crystalline Graphite Ore Flotation Process

The performance of flake graphite ore is related to the size of its flakes. The larger the flakes, the higher the quality of the ore. In order to protect the graphite flakes, ore grade and recovery rate, multi-stage grinding and multiple flotation processes are usually used for treatment, and large flake graphite can be separated in time. Rod mills and filling flotation machines can be used to select large flake graphite ores to improve the concentrate grade and recovery rate. For fine flake graphite ores, multi-stage intensive grinding can be carried out to gradually dissociate the ore, which is convenient for subsequent flotation operations.

2. Cryptocrystalline graphite flotation process

Cryptocrystalline graphite has high grade but poor floatability. Generally, it needs to be finely ground and graded after simple hand selection to obtain the finished product. A few need to be sorted. The main methods to improve the grade of cryptocrystalline graphite are high temperature alkali method, acid washing method, chlorination roasting method, hydrofluoric acid method and other chemical methods, or a combination of two combined treatments. The mineral processing process is usually multiple grinding and multiple concentration.

Cryptcrystalline graphite flotation process

Hydrophobic flocculation flotation and selective flocculation are relatively new methods that have emerged in recent years. After the cryptocrystalline graphite is flotated by hydrophobic flocculation, the fixed carbon content is greatly increased and the recovery rate is also high. The process of selective flocculation is relatively simple, the production cost is low, and the effect is good.
